Compliance Officer – Trading & Regulation


ORA Traders Group B.V. and Market Wizards Group B.V. are looking for a Compliance Officer for their proprietary trading firm MARKET WIZARDS.
Located in Amsterdam in the historical Amsterdam Exchange Building MARKET WIZARDS offers competing market access to major European trading venues for the proprietary trading community.


What we expect

As a Compliance Officer of Market Wizards you will be involved in the development and the realization of the compliance program. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Advising on MiFID, MAR and AML rules and regulation;
  • Advising on trading rules and regulations of trading venues in Europe;
  • Advising on new markets, trading strategies and products;
  • Conducting audits on compliance of rules and regulation and trade surveillance;
  • Contributing to the design and implementation of compliance controls;
  • Provide compliance training;
  • Prepare policies, procedures and reporting regarding monitoring and trading surveillance; and
  • Responding on regulatory inquiries and interacting with regulators.


To be successful we expect from you:

  • Min. 5 years of working experience in a similar role at a financial institution;
  • Min. Bachelor degree in legal, compliance, finance, science or equivalent;
  • Strong MSO skills;
  • Pro-active and assertive attitude;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Self-directed and able to work under minimal supervision; and
  • Team player, communicator with a getting things done attitude
